MYS offers Tackle Football for grades 4th-6th.  We play in the North County Football League with Blaine, Mt. Baker, Nooksack, and Lynden.  MYS will provide each player with a helmet, shoulder pads, 2 pairs of pants (1 game, 1 practice), Practice Jersey, and a Game Jersey.  Players will need to return all gear at the end of the season with the exception of the Game Jerseys which can be kept. 

We will be offering a couple "Gear Fitting" evenings to get all the kids sized up for gear and uniforms for tackle football.  Practices will begin at the beginning of August, with games starting in early September.  Specific dates will be sent to all those that are registered as we get closer.

The Tackle Football league plays 11 v 11 football without kickoffs or punts.  Practices are weeknights (usually 3 during the week prior to the season, drop to 2 once season starts) and games will be on Saturdays.  The season typically ends towards the end of October.

The North County Football League offers 2 division for Tackle Football:

Junior Division - 4th & 5th Grade: This division plays with a Junior sized football.  All players will be weighed at the season kickoff Jamboree.  Players weighing over 125lbs with gear will be unable to play skill positions (QB, RB, WR, TE, Linebacker, Safety, CB) during the season.

Senior Division - 6th Grade: This division plays with a Youth sized football.  All players will be weighed at the season kickoff Jamboree.  Players weighing over 145lbs with gear will be unable to play skill positions (QB, RB, WR, TE, Linebacker, Safety, CB) during the season.
